Quite a few men of a certain age will fondly recall the subject of this week’s edition of Eric’s Bad Movies at Film.com: “The Beastmaster,” a goofy sword-and-sorcery tale from 1982 that was thereafter shown endlessly on cable. I say men because this seems like the kind of movie that guys like and girls ignore, but perhaps there is some crossover.
This will disappoint about five of you, but I’m not going to do the thing anymore where I give clues about what next week’s movie is and you make guesses. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to not give clues about things so that people can guess, and that falls under that category, alas. Just enjoy the delightful surprise each Thursday of finding out for yourself what that week’s movie is!
